Our intention is to train emotionally intelligent, embodied practitioners who can deliver intuitive, holistic bodywork, treating the wholeness of their client.

We aim to equip you with the knowledge & expertise needed to deliver a treatment with presence, integrity & heart-led care - delivering every treatment with both professionalism, humanity & joy. 

This course is creative, collaborative, comprehensive & fun!

You’ll be supported to discover your own unique gifts & style as a practitioner, while learning to create bespoke, prescriptive bodywork experiences for your clients. 

No experience needed. Come as you are and learn the healing power of touch.

To apply for the course we need a little information. Please don’t be intimated by the form - this isn’t a test! It’s so we can gather information and understand your learning needs. The deadline for application is the 14th September but we recommend you apply as soon as possible as spaces are limited & going fast.

Meet your teacher

Tessa is a holistic massage therapist, somatic practitioner, educator, and facilitator with nearly a decade of experience working as a bodywork practitioner & within wellbeing education.

Alongside her private practice, she has designed and led retreats, practitioner trainings, wellbeing programmes, and experiential learning spaces for organisations including Kaylo, triyoga, Apple, Facebook, and HSBC.

She has led teams of up to 200 multidisciplinary practitioners and created educational frameworks with world renowned practitioners such as Dr. Gabor Mate.

Her work bridges bodywork, emotional intelligence, and professional practitioner development — creating learning experiences that honour both high-quality training and the humanity of the people within them.

Our Location

Melancoose, Cornwall

The in person training will take place at the beautiful Melancoose on the north coast of Cornwall.

Located just outside Newquay and close to Cornwall airporst, Melancoose is nestled amoungst the trees and nature. It has an outdoor spa which we will be using for an eveny. The studio will be equipped with everything you need for the training & you’ll have access to showers onsite.

Accommodation is optional & comes at an additional price. Please enquire for details.

BODY

You will learn how to deliver expert, prescriptive massage & bodywork which is bespoke to the needs of your clients.

You'll gain a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology & pathology, a repertoire of skills & techniques so you can work with all body types, so your treatments are deeply supported and informed by grounded education.

EMOTIONS

You will learn how to bring emotional intelligence to your sessions and how to hold space with a trauma aware approach.

You'll develop an understanding of the mind-body connection, & how trauma & stress impacts the body, nervous system & overall wellbeing.

SPIRIT

You'll learn energy healing to support your clients on a deeper level, alongside an understanding of energetic anatomy & new science around energy and healing.

You'll be taught practices designed to offer balance, regulation & grounding not only to your clients but for your own self healing as a practitioner.

HEART

You'll learn to see the person beyond the body in front of you, and how healing can happen from presence & connection, not just the techniques you use.

You'll be supported to explore your own unique gifts and style as a practitioner, while developing self care practice to support yourself as you grow your massage practice.

Your qualification will be accredited by ThinkTree and you’ll be able to gain insurance from providers such as Balens.

    • Students are required to keep a diary of 30 hours of massage practice as well as a journal to be handed in at the end of the course.

    • Internal examinations within the course include: One practical exam, diary of massage hours, plus journal.

    • External examinations include Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology multiple choice questions & one assignment

    • Students are expected to get an 80% pass mark for all of the above.

    • 7 days - in person - core learning - 56 hours

    • 3 months - practice, mentorship - 30 hours practice, 10 hours mentorship

    • 3 days - in person - feedback, additional learning & exams - 24 hours

    • External anatomy, physiology, and pathology / business/ health & safety - by end of course - 120 hours

  • This is a hybrid, online & in person training with an emphasis on hands on work. 

    All practical training & some theory is delivered in person.

    Theory & case study mentorship is delivered online.

    The course is spread out over 4 months with in person learning at the start and end and in person practice & online mentorship throughout.

    There is also an additional external Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology on demand module to complete.

  • No experience necessary although personal interest in holistic health and wellbeing is a bonus. 

    A passion to learn & an open mind.

    While we don’t expect any prior qualifications there is reading & examinations in anatomy, physiology & pathology, massage & energy theory so a good level of reading & writing is essential. If you’re unsure we can discuss this ahead of time.

    Tessa has over 12 years experience as a bodywork practitioner working at retreats and studios around the world and seeing thousands of clients.

    As well as her work as a practitioner she has lead large multidisciplinary teams in creating globally recognised educational experiences in the realm of health, healing & transformation.
